Well, I am not surprised to find out later this evening that Tulum has hosted the event like this back in 2018:

Here are some quick facts to keep in mind if I found myself at the speaker’s chair during the event like this:

  • In 2016, it was found that around 84% of those who had taken psychedelic drugs in their lifetime did so to learn more about themselves, while 60% took such drugs to increase spiritual understanding, and 36% to deal with emotional issues.
  • Pineapple fund donated $5M to MAPS for Phase 3 clinical trial of MDMA for PTSD.
  • According to the PR on 23.09 the largest global dark web arrests taking place recently as a result of DisrupTor operation: 179 arrests spread across six countries; 500 kilograms of drugs seized; $6.5 million in cash and cryptocurrency confiscated.
  • Crypto market data aggregator Glassnode has published data indicating that Bitcoin’s (BTC) realized capitalization has increased by more than 50% since tagging its all-time high of $20,000 at the end of 2017.
  • Almost a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin options contracts, a little under half in existence, are set to expire TODAY, per data from Skew analytics. And Ethereum isn’t far behind.
  • Bitcoin could reach a $3 trillion market cap by 2025.
  • In the first half of 2020, $150 million was raised by psychedelics-focused companies. The research group projects that the global psychedelics industry may reach a total value of $7 billion by the year 2027.
  • The Field Trip’s private placement raised $8.5M USD. Notable investors in the round include Subversive Capital, Silver Spike Capital and the venture capital firm Bolt, as well as individual investors Harris Fricker, an early stage investor and pioneer in e-payments and blockchain, and Ben Greenfield, a globally recognized longevity expert and biohacker.
  • Roadman Investments (TSXV: LITT) In early 2020, this venture capital investment firm confirmed an entry into the new space with a joint venture alongside Psychedelic Insights. The public firm committed to a $500,000 injection to kickstart an operation agenda for the joint venture. The goal for this partnership is to create a line of clinics capable of offering guided therapies utilizing the much-promoted psilocybin.
  • MOTA Ventures (CSE:MOTA,OTC Pink: PEMTF) Investors in MOTA Ventures have seen the company develop an e-commerce platform for hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) products in the US and Europe. Now the company plans to expand its operations in Europe to explore the potential of psychedelic treatments.
  • Compass Pathways’ (NASDAQ: CMPS) recent NASDAQ debut has inspired a fellow psychedelics company to pursue a listing on the American exchange. Mind Medicine (MindMed) (NEO:MMED, OTCQB: MMEDF) told investors on Monday (September 21) that it plans to pursue an up-listing to the same exchange.
  • Champignon Brands (CSE:SHRM, OTCQB: SHRMF) The public entity Champignon Brands manages an extensive psychedelic business with various divisions in charge of advancing its operations through research, trials and product formulations. The company is pursuing operations in the US, more specifically California, after buying a company that owns a ketamine-infusion treatment.
  • Graph Blockchain (CSE: GBLC) acquired Shroom Street in a deal worth CAD $1 million. The company plans to pair its technology with an upcoming e-commerce platform for its psychedelic business purchase, set to launch at the end of 2020 for online sales in legal jurisdictions.
  • The Conscious Fund is a relatively new group in the investment arena, and it’s looking to devote its time and money to the growing psychedelics industry. It invests in early stage ventures in plant powered medicine.

Enough for today. Deadline is in 8 mins. I am as usual forgetting about time, when start delving into the research and seems like it turns up to be not 2 hours per day, but all 4 or 5. But I love it.
